Sometimes you have to be in the water to get the composition you want and here is an example of that. I wanted the surf to encapsulate nearly the whole scene so I had to carefully make my way out into the sea. No mean feat when the rocks move under foot, are different sizes and the power of the current is working against you!

I love the light in the sky that’s also reflected in the sea, the way the white water surf is rendered across the frame and the three main rocks that focus the eye. Aberthaw can be seen in the distance.
